Christmas decorations with Dorothy Dinsmore

On Saturday 11th December, Feltmakers North had such fun with the very talented Dorothy Dinsmore, who was helping us make some fantatsic Christmas decorations, with white felt. She brought with her a tree filled with the most inspirational work, which was just a delight. So after adopting the constitution and electing the committee, we all got stuck in, there was great enthusiasm in the room. there were stars, birds and hearts being made, and embellished with embroidery threads and sequins. it is always amazing how everyone starts with more or less the same ingredients but everyone's ended up looking very individual. I think when the time was over noone really wanted to stop and some stunning pieces were made as you will see in the photographs. (to follow when I work out how to upload them!?!)
Next month's meeting is January 22nd at 10.30am in The Island Arts Centre, Lisburn, everyone is welcome. In January we will be making a small purse or camera case using a resist, so hopefully another morning of fun while felting!!
